When Johnny suffered a massive head injury working for a logging company in 2007, his wife knew she needed help to give him the best opportunity to recover as much as possible. He had a long road ahead of him and the company was trying to get out of doing the right thing. She hired Brian to help them. Brian was able to obtain a $4,000,000 settlement for Johnny that ensured he’d be taken care of for the rest of his life.
In 2013, Johnny and Carolin wrote to Brian, updating him about Johnny’s health. They wrote:
“Brian,
Just want to say hello, tell you thanks for everything you done for us. I know anyone case that you take they are in great hands and thank God for that, that’s a blessing. You, your family, your team keep being bless and always keep the good work up. Johnny says hi and again Thanks. Have a very Bless Day…”
We sat down with Johnny and Carolin in 2014. Carolin said, “Thank God Johnny is still here, because they say he wasn’t going to make it… We got a call that he was in the ICU and that his head was crushed in. At that time, you don’t know what you’re facing, you don’t know anything. It’s scary.
“We didn’t have the money to pay all our bills. The company didn’t do anything. If I hadn’t met Brian, we’d be dependent on the government for a lot of care today. From the whole time, he was there for us, through everything. And we couldn’t have asked for nobody no better. Just being honest…
“I want to tell Brian today thank you… Johnny say thank you, and Johnny talk about him a lot. I do thank God for Brian Beckcom. I thank God for each and everything that he has done for us, and he has done many, many things for us. We wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for Brian Beckcom… He taught us to make the right choices that we needed to have the life that we’re living today, and I thank God for that.”
